Private Percussion Lessons

What you Can Expect...

If you're willing to put a fair amount of effort into this, you can expect to learn a lot!  I consider myself pretty relaxed and have loads of patience for people that give it their all.
Everyone is different, and as a result, everyone's individual lesson will be different. Your lessons will be suited to your interests and skill level. By doing it this way, I can promise you'll have greater motivation to stay committed.  Maybe you're looking to make this a career path, or maybe you just need an outlet to have fun and stay involved with music.  Either way, yo'll get personalized lessons to help you achieve your goals.  I understand that punctuality is super important.  You can count on me to arrive on time and prepared for every lesson.

A Little About Myself

Currently, I am a freelance, resident, and studio percussionist in the DMV area looking to grow my current studio of students.  My roots are based in Jazz Drumset and Vibraphone, but I'm well versed in various styles of music including classical/orchestral (mallet and battery), hand percussion (Latin and West African), marching ensemble and electronic music.

I am a recent graduate from The University of Maryland, College Park with degrees in both Music Education and Music Performance.  Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and an opportunity to work one on one with percussion students allows me a chance to pass on learned techniques to following generations of musicians.  Hope you'll consider starting lessons!!
